-Recruitment is the hiring of staff
-Internal recruitment is promoting a worker from inside the firm, external is hiring from outside the firm
-Firms need to assess both attitude or skills when recruiting. Sometimes attitude is more important as the skills can be taught. In other jobs skills are vital to the job
